Monika Zarzeczna
Monika Zarzeczna is a visual artist, teaching artist and curator. She works in predominantly cardboard and found material sculpture, paper collage, drawing and site specific work. Her work has been shown internationally in Germany, The Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, BiH and Canada and nationally in the Sculpture Center, LIC, Lesley Heller Gallery and Spencer Brownstone Gallery in NYC and the David Castillo Gallery in Miami, among other venues. She was an artist in residence at MAD, Museum of Arts and Design inNYC, Skowhegan School of Painting in Maine, 37PK, Haarlem, NL, I Park in Connecticut and Somos in Berlin,DL. Monika has worked as a teaching artist for various organizations in NYC for 16 years, including the Guggenheim Museum and Studio in a School, before moving to Catskill, where she now lives, teaches and she and her husband have an art studio.
