Artist Statement:

As a painter, I am interested in the tipping point between figuration and abstraction and the tension between control and chaos. In my house series, I convey the essence of each structure I depict by using formal elements such as: line, color, texture, and brushstroke. By employing an open-ended process oriented approach, personal themes may emerge like: overt or hidden emotions, fragility, and the passing of time.
